Edmonton Transit Service is Coming to Big Lake Communities

Edmonton Transit Service is coming to the new home communities of Big Lake and will be offered in the Anthem United communities of Trumpeter and Hawks Ridge. With Kinglet being only a quick 5 minute walk away from Hawks Ridge, all three of our communities can take advantage of the great opportunity to stay connected to convenience and nearby amenities. On April 25, 2021, the service will be available to northwest Edmonton homeowners.

What is Edmonton Transit On Demand?

On Demand Transit connects Edmontonians in 37 neighbourhoods across the city to the massive, already established Edmonton transit network. On Demand Transit provides a new layer of service to new communities and areas where current bus service cannot reach and continues the goal of providing safe, fast, convenient and reliable service to families and residents.

All buses for the communities of Big Lake will bring residents to Lewis Farms Transit Center, granting them access to the entire city and is a great starting point for express buses to downtown, West Edmonton Mall, Schools, and the University of Alberta.

How Does On Demand Transit Work?

With the new ETS service, you can book a ride from a designated pick up location in your neighbourhood or from one of Edmonton’s many designated transit hubs using the Edmonton On Demand Transit App. Another great benefit to the service is that it will be offered during peak and off-peak service hours, including weekends. You can also book your ride in as little as 60 minutes before you need to leave. It’s great if plans change at a moment’s notice.

Fun Fact: Each shuttle bus will take the most direct route to the transit hub, with no extra stops. This ensures that you arrive at your destination quickly and on time.
